One of the biggest problems models have are their busy lives. At times it is very hard to book some models for even the best print modeling assignments. This is particularly true when finals roll around. When a client calls it is very important that the model be available for assignments, auditions and go sees. This can be even more difficult if the model happens to live more than an hour away from the modeling assignment. Still a job is a job and when you are just beginning that teenage modeling job is even more important because it can shape just how future teenage modeling jobs are going to come to you. If you are unavailable for an assignment or are having trouble working it into your schedule, the client will start looking for your replacement. There are a thousand people right behind you just dying to get a shot at the job you just turned down. Just remember, you don't have to have fashion model training to be a model.
Most modeling assignments do not require fashion model training will take place on week days between the hours of 9:00am and 5:00pm since that is the time most business people work. Rarely will a client arrange his schedule around your to accommodate you. Usually if the client does, it is a good indicator that the client is new to the business.
When you are a new teen model just trying to get established, all other activities really need to take a back seat to your career. If the client knows the model and that she can be counted on to do a great job, the client will almost always call them before any other model who has just as much potential. If you must turn down a teenage modeling job, then you need to let the client know as soon as possible.
Being available is one of the most important qualities you can have as a model. Think twice before you turn down an any assignment, especially one which can launch your modeling career. Even if you don't have fashion model training, you can always learn on the set of a photo shoot.
